about

"Space Prophecies" (which is special because it has "Zyklotron" as a bonus track) is one of my dance-ish albums; to be correct, most of the tracks on it were part of my efforts to come up with a double album, one CD with dance and another with ambient tracks, which (in that form) never saw the light of day - but I worked on it for some years from 1998 on, and mainy of the various tracks I recorded in that context later formed the core of some of my other albums (most of which crystalized in 2006 when I put together my big promotional CD set "No Single Single").

The title track however (like "Zyklotron", the track which makes this album special) is an exception from that - it was recorded when in the early days of B4 SUNRISE (the artrock trio of Wolfgang Bechtluft, Reinhold Krämer and myself) Reinhold borrowed his KORG Prophecy synthesizer to me - the first time I could use a real (as opposed to virtual) synth with resonant filters that I could tweak in realtime, btw.

Anyway, what makes this album special (even in the presence of quite a few more cool tracks on it) is the fact that it contains "Zyklotron" as a bonus track. Did I already mention that...?

Anyway, most of the bonus tracks were recorded a few years later (including "Zyklotron", which makes this album so special! :-) ).

Oh, yes - and "Zyklotron": that's simply the best dance track I ever recorded. Really, it's a gas! To me, anyway...

PLAY IT LOUD!!!! :-D
