In what turned out to be a spontanous burst of inspiration, poet / lyricist / spoken word artist Shane Beck and electronica composer Michael Brückner created this circle of five pieces together that are based as much around the mystical splendour of nature as on the vast inner landscape of human longing for eternal love, spiritual transcendence and integration of experiences of loss and pain into a transformative and ultimately healing process.

EXTENDED SIGH

Arise with the sweetest sound of a beauty
seen through nature's eyes
Please correct me if I am wrong,
surrounded by the sunlight and a song

Untold stories of a lovers kiss and
this majestic scenery of a once whispering sky
So we share the moment overwhelmed
by the new horizon and an Extended Sigh

Overtaken by the perpetual gift of memory
and the flowing thoughts of one
Embraced by the constant reminder of an ocean view
and blinded by this setting sun

And if there is a remedy for sorrow that
can be defined by the light that I knew
Just open up the heart and by the wisdom of the past,
recalling how much I love you

Recollections of a tear drop that told you more
and the poet who who never said goodbye
The turning point of the gentle spoken word
and this forever Extended Sigh

IN NATURE YOU WILL SEE

I remember the death of my true angel
who speaks through light
Enveloped by the purest epitome of an innocent goddess
who forever shines bright
Through the scent of the trees and
by the natural beauty of everything that you are
In Nature You Will See the guilt wiped clean
transformed by a burning star

And was it not elegant and surreal knowing
the truth in a love so very real
This grieving poet who waited his lifetime
and the poet's heart he did reveal
By the changing seasons I could never hide
what I really felt and the reasons why I still wait
In Nature You Will See love's secret sacrifice
and this story of one poet and the tale of fate

MUSIC OF THE BREEZE

Have you felt the mutual chill
of memories deepest embrace
This heart was taken by the tragedy
of false light from a different place

An angel once said she was swept away
by the only true love she ever knew
Confide in me with this Music Of The Breeze,
the poet who always loved you

Forbidden secrets from a girl and her double life
who wanted much more
Is this the ode to oblivion and is this Music Of The Breeze
a way to open the door

Transfixed upon images in my mind
that gave me the words still inside me
Our Music Of The Breeze holding the beauty in sway
so that you might one day see

THROUGH THE EYES OF A BIRD

Hovering above she watched
the man walking as he cried
This heart once forgiven from
the traumatic wounds hidden inside

Those vibrating wings which decipher
the language only I know
Through The Eyes Of A Bird he was seen and heard,
this love will never go

Over & beyond the reasoning of a mind
disturbed from the loss of love
Upon the vast horizon Through
The Eyes Of A Bird seen up above

Her promise guiding the man she will save
when his last days are near
Asleep and muttering she calls to him
in dreams and whispers, I am near...

THIS FLOWERING CURRENT

This is the arrival of love's truest infinite gift
that always knew
Inbetween the subtle praise of affection
from the light within you

Will you now bestow upon me the power to believe
your words to me were true
This Flowering Current and the ever lasting sigh
I am the who forever loved you even when you said goodbye

And by the scent of This Flowering Current
transcribed in a poem I once gave
Enduring the lapse of this aloneness
with a withering heart you swore to save
