about

This album from 2005 is (for the bigger part) another excursion "pop" territory - structured tracks with danceable beats and melodic hooks at least, some even with cheesy disco synth strings.

It started with a handful of tracks that were recorded to test some (rather simple) virtual instruments that came with a new version of the recording software I used (actually, it was an older version, but new to me at that time). This kind of self-restriction in the use of instruments was not an unusual "strategy" for me, and the challenge to try to create (hopefully) interesting music with rather simple instruments was something I considered to be stimulating...

In the process of working on these tracks (as usually), I eventually deviated from those self-imposed restrictions and added some further instruments (most notably a Korg MS-10 semi modular synthesizer which I had borrowed from my B4 SUNRISE bandmate Reinhold Krämer) although most of it was done with the mentioned basic tools.
